TE-Billing Solutions® may act as a Business Associate to healthcare providers under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (“HIPAA”).
TE-Billing Solutions®:
• Does not provide healthcare services or medical treatment
• Does not diagnose medical conditions
• Does not make treatment decisions
• Does not provide medical advice
• Does not independently determine a healthcare provider’s clinical documentation
• Does not independently change diagnoses or coding supported by a healthcare provider’s medical record
Our role is limited to billing, revenue cycle management, administrative, credentialing, and related services performed on behalf of healthcare providers.
3. Website Use
This website provides information about TE-Billing Solutions®, our services, patient billing support, healthcare billing topics, business opportunities, and related resources.
The website may also allow users to:

By submitting a patient billing inquiry, you represent that:
• The information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge
• You are the patient, the patient’s legally authorized representative, or otherwise authorized to submit the information
• You will provide only information reasonably necessary to address the billing matter
• You understand that TE-Billing Solutions® is acting on behalf of the applicable healthcare provider
Information submitted through an approved patient billing communication channel will be handled in accordance with applicable law, HIPAA requirements, our Business Associate Agreements, and our applicable privacy policies.
6. Website Chat Assistant
Our general website chat assistant is intended only to assist users with website navigation and direct users to appropriate resources or communication channels.
The general website chat assistant is not an approved channel for submitting PHI.
Users should not submit the following through the general website chat:
• Patient medical information
• Diagnosis or treatment information
• Dates of birth
• Insurance identification numbers
• Billing account information
• Claim information
• Explanation of Benefits information
• Payment-card information
• Social Security numbers
• Other sensitive patient information
The general website chat assistant does not provide:
• Medical advice
• Clinical advice
• Legal advice
• Individualized insurance coverage determinations
• Independent coding determinations
• Diagnosis or treatment recommendations
Patients who need to provide PHI for a billing matter should use an approved secure patient billing communication channel.
6. Patient Billing Information
TE-Billing Solutions® may provide billing support on behalf of a healthcare provider.
Information provided through our website regarding medical billing, insurance processing, claims, deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, coordination of benefits, referrals, authorizations, or other billing matters is intended for general informational purposes.
Insurance coverage and benefit determinations are made by the applicable insurance carrier and are governed by the terms of the patient’s individual insurance plan.
TE-Billing Solutions® does not:
• Guarantee insurance eligibility or coverage
• Guarantee payment of any claim
• Guarantee reimbursement
• Control deductible, copayment, or coinsurance amounts
• Determine insurance-plan benefits
• Override insurance-carrier coverage determinations
• Extend insurance-carrier timely filing requirements
• Guarantee that a denied or rejected claim can be corrected or resubmitted
Eligibility or benefit information obtained during billing activities is not a guarantee of payment or coverage.
Patients should contact their insurance carrier for definitive information concerning individual plan benefits, coverage limitations, deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, authorization requirements, referrals, exclusions, and other plan-specific terms.
8. Coding and Clinical Documentation
Coding and diagnosis selection are based on the healthcare provider’s clinical documentation and applicable coding and billing requirements.
TE-Billing Solutions® may perform billing and coding-related administrative functions within the scope authorized by the healthcare provider, but we do not alter clinical documentation or change a provider’s diagnosis merely to obtain insurance coverage or reduce a patient’s financial responsibility.

• Medical necessity
• The clinical reason for a service
should be directed to the applicable healthcare provider.
9. No Medical or Legal Advice
The information contained on this website is for general informational and administrative purposes.

TE-Billing Solutions® may assist with patient payment and account questions on behalf of healthcare providers.
Payments may be processed through payment systems or platforms authorized by the applicable healthcare provider.
Users should submit payment-card or banking information only through an authorized secure payment platform or other approved payment method.
Users should not submit full payment-card information through:
• General website forms
• General website chat
• Standard email
• Other communication channels not specifically designated for secure payment information
TE-Billing Solutions® does not independently establish the fees charged by healthcare providers.
Questions concerning the amount originally charged for healthcare services may need to be directed to the applicable provider.
12. Protected Health Information and HIPAA
When TE-Billing Solutions® creates, receives, maintains, or transmits PHI while performing services on behalf of a healthcare provider, we handle that information in accordance with our applicable Business Associate Agreement, HIPAA, and other applicable legal requirements.
Patients generally exercise formal HIPAA privacy rights through their healthcare provider, which is the Covered Entity.

13. Privacy
Use of this website is also subject to our Privacy Policy.
